        SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT POLICIES

        Ecological and Environmental Protection Policy

        1. Environmental Philosophy

        Concord New Energy Group is deeply committed to the clean energy sector by providing high-quality clean energy resources to actively respond to climate change. The Group attaches great importance to environmental protection and adheres to the development concept of integrating development with environmental protection; strictly complies with relevant laws and regulations on environmental protection, puts in place a whole-process environmental protection management system, clarifies roles and responsibilities of management, and ensures the implementation of environmental policies and sustainable development.

        2. Water and Soil Conservation

        Continuously step up the project's water conservation efforts and increase the investment in water and soil conservation. Before construction, a detailed and complete water conservation plan must be formulated, water conservation construction must comply with "the three requirements", and the water and soil conservation management procedures must be constantly improved.

                Craft strict design requirements and program approval scheme to ensure that all types of soil and water conservation measures are reasonable, sound, and feasible;

                Carry out design optimization, avoid vegetation areas as far as possible, and select suitable vegetation according to the topography, geomorphology, and climatic characteristics of each treatment area, formulate feasible measures to ensure the survival rate of vegetation;

                Improve construction techniques to reduce damage to the mountains and vegetation, and adopt construction plans that cause less surface soil disturbance according to the geological conditions of the construction site, since reducing the disturbance to the original landscape can facilitate the recovery of vegetation after the construction.

        3. Biodiversity Conservation

        During its business operations, the Group incorporates biodiversity impacts into its assessments. Conservation plans and various measures are formulated, and professional third-party institutions should be engaged to conduct field surveys on biodiversity when necessary to avoid or reduce potential adverse impacts on biodiversity during business operations.

        Strictly comply with relevant national regulations and avoid forest land, protected areas and water source regions as project sites to protect biological habitats.

        Enhance employees' awareness of biodiversity conservation, encourage them to focus on biodiversity conservation and commend them for voluntary conservation actions.

        4. Environmental Monitoring

        Qualified institutions are commissioned to monitor construction waste and other wastes generated during the construction process, and to monitor indicators and data concerning groundwater, surface water, atmosphere, noise, and electromagnetic radiation.

        Conduct regular or casual inspections of the project site and strictly implement the relevant requirements for environmental monitoring.

        5. Waste Management

        Strictly comply with relevant laws and regulations, and actively draw on practical experience in related fields.

        Actively identify and classify the waste that may be generated by the project and its impact, and develop corresponding measures to ensure that the waste is disposed of in an environmentally sound and efficient way.

        Actively adopt advanced technologies, techniques, equipment, and management measures to promote waste reduction at source and establish a waste recycling system.
